The eastbound lanes of the Mark Twain Memorial Bridge were closed for about an hour and a half as the result of a two vehicle crash on the bridge at 4:40 p.m. Friday.

The Illinois State Police reports that 23 year old Sam Douglas of Quincy was eastbound when he lost control of his semi and struck an SUV, driven by 22 year old Kaiser Falk of Plainville. Falk had exited his vehicle prior to the crash.

Falk was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment.

Douglas was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
