(Hannibal, Mo)--  Marion County Sheriff Jimmy Shinn says over 40 law enforcement officers are combing the area from Hannibal to Saverton looking for clues in what is believed to be a homicide case, after a body was found in the Mississippi River Sunday south of Hannibal.

The body has yet to be identified.  It was badly decomposed when found Sunday. Shinn says officers from 14 agencies comprising the North East Missouri Major Case Squad have ridden trains and even taken to the air to look for evidence.
