(PITTSFIELD)—Pike County Illinois sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man alleged to be involved in a repair scam.

Sheriff Paul Petty identifies the man wanted as Steven Cranford after a review of security video from a Quincy bank. Petty says Cranford told a Pike County woman there were problems with her electric service in her house and he was the best there was to make repairs. Petty says the woman wrote a check for over five thousand dollars and Cranford immediately went to her bank for the cash.
