Man Suspected in Twenty Springfield Burglaries
A Springfield man is suspected of burglaries in 20 homes, all in the same area of the southwest Missouri city.
The Springfield News-Leader reports that 33-year-old Robert Rushing is charged with two counts each of burglary and stealing, though police say he confessed to several other break-ins. Additional charges are likely.
Rushing is jailed on $150,000 bond and does not yet have a listed attorney.
A resident reported a burglary on Friday. Jewelry and a PlayStation were among the items stolen.
Police say Rushing became a suspect when his girlfriend sold the PlayStation to a local pawn shop. He was arrested Tuesday.
