A southeast Missouri man shot on the parking lot of a mental health facility earlier this month has died.

The Poplar Bluff Daily American Republic reports that 52-year-old Mitchell Dugger of Broseley died this week due to complications from the shooting that occurred Oct. 14. He had been hospitalized in Cape Girardeau since the shooting.

Eddie Skorcz is accused of shooting Dugger in the left side, leg and shoulder as part of a domestic dispute. The shooting occurred on the parking lot of Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center Behavioral Health.

Skorcz is jailed on $250,000 bond on charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Prosecutors have not said if he will be charged with murder now that Dugger has died.
