Man Missing After Falling From Water Patrol Boat

A 20 year-old Iowa man is missing after an accident involving a Missouri Highway Patrol watercraft.

The accident happened at 5:23 p.m. Saturday on the Lake of the Ozarks in Morgan County. The man was being transported by the State Patrol for boating while intoxicated. He reportedly stepped to the side of the boat and fell or jumped overboard.

The man was using a safety device according to the Highway Patrol incident report. The water in the area where he disappeared is said to be 80 feet deep.
