Man Airlifted to Hospital After Hannibal Stabbing

Two Hannibal men are arrested after a 62-year-old man is stabbed at a residence in the 1200 Block of Fulton Avenue.

Hannibal Police responded to the scene around 10:30 p.m. Friday night.  Officers arrived to find the victim suffering from a stab wound to the upper body.

Police arrested 26-year-old Derek M. Yakes of Hannibal without incident.  Derek Yakes was charged with Assault 1st Degree and placed on a 24-hour hold at the Marion County Jail pending an arrest warrant.  Thirty-year-old Brandon Yakes was also arrested and jailed on charges of interfering and resisting arrest.

The stabbing victim was flown to University Hospital in Columbia.
