A trial date has been set for the former Quincy attorney accused of murdering his wife.

Lawyers for the prosecution and the defense both told Judge Bob Hardwick they are ready for the first degree murder trial of 47-year-old Curtis Lovelace to begin January 25.

Lovelace is alleged to have killed his first wife, Cory Lovelace on February 14, 2006 in their Quincy home.

Curtis Lovelace has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

There will be a pre-trial hearing in Cass County January 13 when rulings will take place on motions regarding jury selection and challenges to the witness list.
