Louisiana Teen Killed in Route U-U Crash

A pickup truck crash on Pike County Route U-U at 10:45 Friday night claims the life of a Louisiana teen.

The Missouri Highway Patrol say 16 year old Lucas Strieker of Louisiana died of injuries sustained when the pickup truck in which he was riding failed to negotiate a curve.. went off the road and overturned. Strieker was pronounced dead at Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana. The driverr—21 year old Austin Stewart of Pittsfield was also thrown from the truck. He was taken to Pike County Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The crash report indicates neither occupant of the pickup were wearing seat belts.
