Louisiana Child Endangerment Trial Date Set
A Louisiana woman who allegedly left her two-year-old son to wander alone in a creek on a cold day will go to trial January 30. Twenty-six-year-old Kristian Riley is charged with felony endangering the welfare of a child.
Police say they got a report of the boy wandering naked in a creek near his home in the 200 block of North Sixth Street last March 18th. An officer said the temperature at the time was 46 degrees with a 14 mile-per-hour wind.
Authorities also reported finding feces on the boy’s clothing and toys inside the house in addition to trash and a smell of urine.
Riley pleaded not guilty at a hearing in June.
