(LIMA)—A Lorraine man faces several charges following an incident over the weekend in Adams County.

Adams County Sheriff’s deputies say 42-year-old Stacey Joe Mayfield was arrested Sunday evening. Deputies say Mayfield and three other people went to a Lima residence early Sunday morning looking for two people encountered during an altercation at a Mendon bar Saturday evening.

Deputies say the individuals Mayfield was looking for were not present but a male at the residence was threatened with a knife and coerced into giving information. Two children and their mother were inside the residence. No injuries are reported.

Mayfield is charged with mob action, intimidation and aggravated assault. He’s held in the Adams County Jail pending a court appearance Monday morning.
