Two are hurt, one seriously, in a two car crash in Hancock County at 4:55 p.m. Friday.

The Illinois State Police reports that 19 year old Blake Coleman of Lomax was northbound on County Road 2150 East, ran the stop sign at the intersection with Highway 9 and struck an eastbound car driven by 36 year old Christopher Hopping of Bushnell.

Hopping was taken to Carthage Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Coleman was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospital with serious injuries.

Coleman was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign and failure to wear a seat belt.
