(Hannibal, Mo)--When Geri Graves received an invitation to Go Further with Ford Night at Tom Boland Ford in Hannibal last November, she almost decided that evening to just stay home.  But the Ford Fusion owner was interested in seeing the debut of the Fusion’s newest incarnation, so she and her husband decided to go.  It was a decision she definitely hasn’t regretted.

Geri was one of 10 winners recently selected nationwide by Ford to win a brand-new Ford Fusion.

Go Further with Ford Night was a special fundraising event held at Ford dealerships across the country as part of Ford’s “Random Acts of Fusion” marketing campaign.  It showcased the all-new Fusion while also assisting local charities with much-needed funds.  Dealers donated $10 to a nonprofit organization of their choice for every guest at their event, up to $500.

Guests were offered the opportunity to win prizes by taking a turn as a “judge” for the famous TV show American Idol.  Participants nationwide watched the same video of an American Idol contestant and then gave their critiques of the act.  Their responses were taped and judged by Ford.

Ten grand prize winners were then selected from those responses and given authorization to spend up to $35,000 on an all-new 2013 Ford Fusion.  Mrs. Graves ordered a pearly white Fusion Hybrid with tan seats and a moon roof.

She wasn’t the only one to walk away a winner from the event, though:  Tom Boland Ford chose the Hannibal United Way as their local charity for Go Further with Ford Night and Ford matched their contribution.
