Congratulations to Patricia Lipp, CNA at Luther Manor Nursing Home in Hannibal.  On Friday she was named John Wood Community College and Community Health Care Agencies Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) of the Year for 2017.

The event co-sponsored by JWCC and Community Health Care Agencies honored 14 area CNAs for their dedicated service. This year’s theme was celebrating "Angels of Healthcare.”

CNAs are front line employees who render personal assistance with daily activities and help meet the physical, emotional and social needs of residents.

Patty received a plaque, $300 and a number of gifts from local businesses.  A traveling plaque will hang in Luther Manor during the coming year.  Her name will also be added to the JWCC CNA plaque.

The remaining thirteen nominees received smaller cash prizes and gifts as well.
