Lewis County Sheriff Warns of Asphalt Scam

Lewis County Sheriff’s deputies warn of a potential asphalt scam.
Deputies ward that individuals may stop by unannounced seeking to put leftover asphalt on your driveway. The sheriff’s office says at least one Lewis County resident was successfully scammed. The workers act as if they’ve been doing patch work for MODOT. However, MODOT representatives confirm they are not affiliated with any of these individuals.
