(Hannibal)--The glow of over 250 lanterns floating on Hannibal’s riverfront at dusk Saturday climaxed the 4th annual Memorial Lantern Float. The ceremony sponsored by the James O’Donnell Funeral Home remembers loved ones gone on before us.  Jim O’Donnell says this year lanterns were not just floating on the river…the Pinkie Pals volleyball club launched flying lanterns that work similar to hot air balloons.  The event included a prayer and message by Rev. Tim Goodman and presentation of the flag and taps by American Legion Post 55.  Kailea Griffen, whom you sang a fitting tribute song “This Little Light of Mine”.  Jim O’Donnell says the ceremony brings people together to reflect on the more serious aspects of the Memorial Day weekend…
