During the Saturday morning parade, a 60 year old Lake St. Louis man was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Revoked. The arrest occurred after the suspect drove past a police vehicle, which was trailing the parade, nearly striking parade participants. The suspect then continued to follow the parade, between the police vehicle and parade participants, to S. Main where he finally stopped. The suspect, who is not affiliated with the parade and has several previous convictions for Driving While Intoxicated, was released on a summons.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
