UPDATE - A LaBelle woman is dead and three others are seriously injured in a two vehicle crash on Route Y north of Lewistown near the Deer Ridge Conservation area at 7:20 a.m. Thursday.

Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish and the Highway Patrol report 29-year-old Stacey Fletcher of LaBelle was southbound, crossed the center and struck a northbound pickup truck driven by 30-year-old Damon Wells, also of LaBelle.

Fletcher was pronounced dead at the scene by Lewis County Coroner Larry Arnold. Wells and his two passengers, 6-year-old Blake and 4-year-old Dustin Wells were taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment of serious injuries.

Route Y had to be closed for a time Thursday morning as a result of the fatal crash.

Lewis County Route Y is open again following a fatal two vehicle crash at 7:15 Thursday morning. 

Deputies say the crash occurred near the Deer Ridge Conservation Area. The crash claimed the life of 29-year-old Stacey Fletcher of rural LaBelle. Fletcher was pronounced dead at the scene by Lewis County Coroner Larry Arnold.

Deputies say the minivan Fletcher was driving crossed the center line and hit a pickup truck. An adult and two children in the pickup were injured and were taken to area hospitals.

The Missouri Highway Patrol is also investigating the crash.
