LaBelle Man Dies in Scotland County Crash Friday

A LaBelle man dies in a three vehicle crash on Highway 15 south of Memphis in Scotland County at 2 p.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports a car driven by 16 year old Beverly Brubaker of Memphis was stopped in the road. The Brubaker car was struck by a northbound Jeep driven by 26 year old Brittany Goddard of LaBelle. The Goddard vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and was struck by a semi driven by 32 year old Alvin Garman of Memphis.

Goddard was taken by Air Evac to Blessing Hospital in Quincy with serious injuries. Her passenger, 30 year old Antonio Clay of LaBelle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
