A LaBelle man is held on sexual misconduct involving a child charges following his arrest last week.
The Lewis County Sheriff's Office says 28 year old James Starr was arrested Ocotber 2nd near the LaBelle City Park. Starr's arrest follows an undercover investigation of Starr's social media accounts by the Kirksville Regional Computer Crimes Unit that started in July. Authorities say a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was traced to Starr. A search of Starr's residence in LaBelle resulted in the seizure of several computer related items. Bond for Starr is set at five thousand dollars cash only.
