Hannibal’s City Council approves a proposal to build a shelter house in Kiwanis Park. The 30 by 40 foot structure will cost around $26,000.

Parks and Recreation Department Director Andy Dorian says the shelter is needed with the increased usage of the park.  Work is expected to be complete this spring.

Council members also approve a full time position in the Hannibal Police Department to help assess points for drivers caught running red lights on traffic cameras.
