Two Kirksville men face burglary and assault charges as the result of an incident early Saturday at a Hannibal residence.

According to Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton, Hannibal Police were called to a residence on North 7th Street just before 1 a.m. Saturday. Matthew Harrison told officers that the sons of his girlfriend had entered the residence and beat him.

The two, identified as Damon Downer and Mikeal Farr, both of Kirksville, were taken into custody by Adair County Sheriff’s deputies in Kirksville early Sunday morning.

Downer and Farr are charged with first degree burglary and third degree assault.
They are in the Marion County Jail on $100,000 bond each.
