The Quincy Fire Department has received notification regarding a recall of some Kidde Smoke and Kidde Combination Smoke and CO Alarms. There has been a recall of the Kidde products based on testing that shows that some of the units sold will not alert consumers of a fire or a CO incident following a power outage.

The units recalled are:

Smoke alarm Model i12010S with a manufacture dates between December 18, 2013 and May 13, 2014.

Combination Smoke/CO alarm model i12010SCO with a manufacture date between December 30, 2013 and May 13, 2014

Combination smoke/CO alarm model KN-COSM-IBA with a manufacture date between October 22, 2013 and May 13, 2014.
