(LAGRANGE)—Missouri’s Department of Natural Resources is offering free kayaking lessons at selected state parks in July.  The Learn2Paddle program is open to adults and children ages 10 and up.  Spots are still available for a July 28th session at Wakonda State Park near LaGrange and July 7th at Long Branch State Park near Macon.

Those under 18 must have a parent or guardian on hand for supervision. Each park will offer three two-hour classes.

The park system provides kayaks, paddles, life jackets and instruction. Participants are asked to bring swimwear and  register online by June 28.
