Karen Torres Preliminary Hearing Continued

The preliminary hearing for a Quincy woman charged in connection with the death of her daughter last May was continued for a second time Wednesday.

30 year old Karen Torres is charged with obstruction of justice for her role in the shooting death of Melina Torres at a family gathering near Beverly last May 20th.

Three other people have been charged in the case, including Melina Torres’ grandmother, uncle and a family friend.

Karen Torres’ preliminary hearing is now set for August 10th in Adams County Circuit Court.
