(Quincy) – The John Wood Community College Board of Trustees approved a tentative budget for the 2012-13 fiscal year Wednesday night.
The new spending plan totals $15-million dollars, some $600-thousand dollars less than a year ago.
The board decided against going with a deficit budget, and came up with the tentative budget after a two hour executive session.
To get to the final numbers, the board decided to eliminate seven current positions and not fill three vacant positions.
The vote to approve the budget was unanimous.
