John Wood Community College Board of Trustees members approve a resolution to increase the tax rate for 2016.

The increase is less than one cent per hundred dollars assessed valuation. That’s expected to mean just under $300,000. The adjustment for 2016 is based on projected expenses, a slight increase in enrollment and less state funding. Over the last five years, JWCC has decreased its overall operating budget by $1.4 million. Credit hour enrollment has also increased over the last five semesters.
