Illinois’ ongoing state budget impasse and a projected slight decrease in enrollment has John Wood Community College taking steps to adapt.
JWCC Board of Trustees members are taking steps to implement a proactive, conservative plan to build revenue and identify operational savings for the coming fiscal year. The board approved a plan including introduction of a four week winter intersession to build new revenue and a reorganization of duties to cover four eliminated positions. A tuition increase is included. That increase would cost a student taking 32 credit hours an additional 96 dollars a year.
