Jury Takes 18 Minutes to Convict Hannibal Man

A jury deliberated just 18 minutes Tuesday before finding a Hannibal man guilty of firearms charges in Adams County Circuit Court.

The Adams County State’s Attorney’s office reports that 46 year old Euron Matthews was found guilty of being an armed habitual criminal and for aggravated discharge of a firearm.

Matthews was alleged to have been in possession of a firearm after being convicted of felonies three previous times.

He is also alleged to have shot into a moving vehicle on Lind between 5th and 6th Streets in Quincy early on the morning of November 12th, 2016.
Matthews is scheduled to be sentenced August 30th.
