The month of June was a hot and dry one in America’s Hometown.

The numbers from the Hannibal Filter Plant show that there was about half as much rainfall as in the average June.

Just 1.73 inches of rain was recorded in June, with 1.54 of that total coming on June 20th. In an average June, 3.46 inches of rainfall is recorded.

It was also a very warm month in Hannibal. There were 13 days in June where the high temperature was 90 or above.

The warmest days were the 15th and the 22nd, when the Filter Plant recorded highs of 96 degrees.

Eight of those 13 90-plus degree highs were consecutive, with the thermometer topping 90 from the 9th to the 16th.
