A Peoria County judge has ruled a Peoria man accused of killing his wife gave police consent to search his house, car and belongings.

Nathan Leuthold has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges in the Feb. 14, 2013 death of Denise Leuthold. Authorities accuse him of staging a break-in at their home and shooting her to death.

The Journal Star reports that a judge on Monday ruled that Leuthold cooperated with police and consented to searches of his house, car, cellphone and laptop.

Leuthold previously said he signed blank release forms and didn't know police would search his property.
