An Adams County Circuit Court judge Wednesday ordered that a mental fitness report be handed over in the case of a Quincy man accused of attacking a Quincy University friar.

On September 6th, Judge Robert Adrian had ordered the Illinois Department of Human Services to produce the report on 37 year old George Scott IV within seven days.

Scott’s case was continued until October 4th, when either the fitness report is to be produced or a representative should be in court to explain why the report can’t be provided.

Scott is charged with aggravated battery in a public place and aggravated battery of a school employee.

He is alleged to have entered Brenner Library on the QU campus April 5th, battering a friar with a stick.

Scott is in the Adams County Jail on $20,000 bond.
