Jason Kander Elected Secretary of State

Democratic state lawmaker Jason Kander has claimed victory in the race of Missouri secretary of state. Kander defeated fellow House member Shane Schoeller to succeed Democratic Secretary of State Robin Carnahan, who opted not to run for a third term. Kander was first elected to the Missouri Legislature in 2008.
