A Hannibal man pleads guilty Friday to amended charges filed in connection with the man allegedly threatening a DFS worker.

Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton reports that James Smith waived his right to trial and pleaded guilty to assault and tampering charges.

Smith was sentenced to 30 days in jail, which he has already served. He will also be required to pay for his stay.
