The Northeast Missouri Narcotics Task Force arrested Joshua “JD” Foust on February 18, 2015 at approximately 12:09 am in Hannibal, Missouri. Foust was transported to the Marion County Jail where he is being held on a warrant for Possession with Intent to Distribute. His bond is $100,000.00 cash only.

(Original story) The manhunt continues for the former Hannibal elementary school principal wanted for heroin possession.

According to Marion County Sheriff Jimmy Shinn, authorities believe 33-year-old J.D. Foust is with family members in Texas, who are reportedly trying to convince Foust to turn himself in.

A month-and-a-half-long investigation by the Northeast Missouri Task Force resulted in a search of Foust’s residence on Fulton Avenue last Wednesday. The search uncovered large amounts of heroin, methadone and drug paraphernalia.

Foust is wanted for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Also arrested as the result of the Task Force's investigation were 31-year-old Samuel Foust and 32-year-old Ryan Thompson. Samuel Foust is charged with two counts of sale of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Thompson is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

J.D. Foust had resigned as principal of Stowell Elementary School on February 2.
