Iowa Woman Accused of Financially Exploiting Resident of Illinois Veterans Home

On 9-16-15 officers of the Lee County, Iowa Sheriffs Office and officers from the Quincy Police Department arrested 41-year-old, Stacie Haynes of Wever, Iowa on an Adams County warrant for Financial Exploitation of an Elderly Person. This resulted from an investigation that began in late August after Quincy Police were notified of a resident of the Illinois Veterans Home that was possibly a victim of misuse of funds by a family member. As a result of that investigation a warrant was issued for Haynes which was served in Lee County, Iowa today (September 16).  Haynes is currently lodged in the Lee County Jail on $75,000 bond while awaiting extradition to Adams County.
