A Fort Madison, Iowa man is in custody on burglary charges.

Officials in Lee County, Iowa took 40 year old Paul Baker into custody about 9 p.m. Tuesday. He has been charged initially with one count of burglary in Lee County.

Meanwhile, an investigation continues by law enforcement in Iowa, Illinois and Missouri into several residential burglaries Baker is believed to have been involved in.

A search of his home shortly after his arrest uncovered items ranging from electronics to jewelry to a small safe.

Among the burglaries Baker is alleged to have committed were at residences in Lewis County, Missouri and Hancock County, Illinois.
