An investigation by Hannibal Police of a violation of an active order of protection results in the arrest of a Hannibal man on multiple charges Monday afternoon.

According to a press release, HPD officers located 36 year old Jason Coulter in a vehicle on Highway MM. Coulter was taken into custody after a brief vehicle pursuit.

A search of Coulter’s vehicle uncovered drug paraphernalia, a substance believed to be marijuana and prescription drugs.

Coulter was arrested for first degree burglary, violating an order of protection, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license.

Coulter was put on a 24 hour hold in the Marion County Jail, pending the issuing of warrants.
