Interstate 72/172 Ramp to Close for Resurfacing Monday

There will apparently be one more day of inconvenience for motorists traveling from Hannibal to Quincy on Monday.

The Illinois Department of Transportation reports that the ramp that takes traffic from eastbound Interstate 72 to northbound I-172 will be closed once again for resurfacing.

IDOT says the work will begin at 9 a.m. Monday and should be completed by 7 p.m.

The posted detour directs eastbound motorists to I-72 Exit 10 at Hull, where they can exit, cross over and re-enter westbound to get to I-172.

Motorist can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area on Monday.
