Inmate Found Unresponsive at the Marion County Jail

An investigation is underway following a death in the Marion County Jail.
Sheriff Jimmy Shinn says an inmate was found unresponsive at 7:10 Thursday morning. Correctional staff immediately began administering life saving measures. The inmate was alone in his cell and was pronounced dead at 7:26 a.m. The inmate is identified as 51 year old Larry Baker. He has been held in Marion County since February 22nd on charges of kidnapping and terrorizing following a February 21st incident. Baker also faced charges of aggravated assault… domestic assault and kidnapping in DeSoto County Mississippi.
Sheriff Shinn says additional information will be released as it becomes available.
