The widow of one of America's best loved balladeers is in America's Hometown for a special event Saturday.

Ingrid Croce, whose husband was singer-songwriter Jim Croce, will be signing books during the Fiesta Del Sol June 21 in Central Park in Hannibal.

It's been 40 years since Jim Croce died in a plane crash. Since then, Ingrid Croce has honored Jim's memory with the opening of Croce's Restaurant and Jazz Bar in San Diego and the publishing of Jim's biography (with current husband Jim Rock), along with two cookbooks and an anthology of Jim's music.

Ingrid will not only be at Fiesta Del Sol Saturday, but will also be at Becky Thatcher's 3rd Street Diner Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and at Main Street Kitchen Store for a book signing from 3 to 6 p.m.

Fiesta Del Sol is hosted by the Hannibal Rotary Club. It runs from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday in Central Park, with music, food and a home brewing competition.

Ingrid Croce, along with Julie Leverenz with the Hannibal Rotary Club, were guest on KHMO's Talk Back:
