A Hannibal shopping destination for over half-a-century has a new owner.

Regency Properties of Evansville, Indiana announce they have purchased the Huck Finn Shopping Center from Hauck Holdings of Cincinnati.

In a press release, Regency describes itself as a commercial real estate company specializing in county seat communities. The company owns over 40 retail shopping centers in 12 states in the Midwest and southeast.

The terms of the sale were not made public.

The Huck Finn Shopping Center first opened in 1965, and is currently home to anchor stores J.C. Penny, Dunham Sports and Big Lots.

There is apparently a new business on its way to the Huck Finn center. In its press release, Regency listed Tractor Supply Company as a tenant. There had been rumors of a new store coming to the space most recently occupied by Sears.
