Illinois State Treasurer and Gubernatorial Candidate Will Meet Voters in Quincy

Dan Rutherford will attend a "Meet the Candidate" luncheon at Spring Lake Country Club on November 13. Rutherford is the current Illinois State Treasurer, and is seeking the Republican nomination in the 2014 gubernatorial election. 

Rutherford is a native of Pontiac, Illinois. He served in the Illinois House of Representatives for a decade, and was then elected to the Illinois Senate. Rutherford was elected Illinois Treasurer in 2010. He announced in June that he would enter the race for Governor. Other declared candidates seeking the Republican nomination include Bruce Rauner, Bill Brady and Kirk Dillard.

The luncheon with Rutherford in Quincy will be from 11:45 - 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13. The cost to attend is $10. Reservations can be made by calling 222-7980.
