The Illinois State Police is looking for a few good men and women, and they’re bringing that search to Quincy Thursday.

The Illinois Department of Employment Security hosts a State Police recruitment workshop Thursday afternoon at the IDES office on North 3rd Street.

State Police recruiters will answer questions about the application process, the available positions and what it takes to get hired.

The workshop is open to the public. Current and former members of the military, National Guard and Reserve will be given first priority, from 1 to 1:30 p.m. The general public can meet with State Police recruiters from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
