Illinois State Police October Activity Report

Illinois State Police District 20 reports working 41 traffic crashes during October in Adams, Brown, Pike, Schuyler and Scott Counties.

One of those crashes resulted in a fatality. District 20 officers also completed 174 motor carrier safety inspections resulting in 30 vehicles or drivers being placed out of service for safety related violations.

Traffic enforcement efforts yielded seven citations for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 433 citations were issued overall for DUI, speeding, occupant restraint and distracted driving.

Troopers also made 17 criminal arrests during October.
