Ice a Factor in Crash on Illinois 57 South of Quincy

Ice on the road is a factor in a collision at 12:18 Thursday afternoon on Illinois 57.
Illinois State Police say a car driven by 39 year old Ingbert Schmidt of St. Louis was northbound and passed two vehicles before losing control on the ice covered road. The Schmidt car collided with a southbound semi driven by 62 year old Michael Henry of Swansea Illinois. Troopers say Schmidt was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Schmidt was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
