A Hunnewell woman dies as the result of injuries suffered in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 36 west of Monroe City at 3:10 p.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports 25 year old Jenna Parsons was westbound when she struck a wrecker which was parked assisting a stranded motorist on the shoulder. Parsons then crossed the center line and struck a vehicle being towed by 64 year old Jack Wallace of Overland Park, Kansas.

Parsons was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Coroner Darrell McCoy.

Highway 36 was closed for a time Friday afternoon while the crash was being investigated.

Memorial services for Jenna Parsons are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Greening Eagan Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina.  Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
