Hannibal-LaGrange University will be holding their 74th annual Booster Banquet at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 20 at the Mabee Sports Complex. The Booster Banquet is known for bringing nationally known speakers to America's Hometown. This year, actor Kevin Sorbo - famous for his role as Hercules in the 1990s TV series Hercules: the Legendary Journeys, and more recently for starring in the hit independent film God's Not Dead - will be appearing at the banquet.

Sorbo also had a in Soul Surfer and starred in another hit television series, Andromeda, for five years. In all, he has appeared in over 45 movies in a career that spans three decades. He is also the author of True Strength: My journey From Hercules to Mere Mortal.

General admission tickets to the 74th annual HLGU Booster Banquet are $60 through November 6. On or after November 7, the price goes up to $75. Executive admission tickets, which include reserved parking, a private reception with Kevin Sorbo, and a reserved seat at the banquet, are $200. Private reception guests will receive a copy of Sorbo's book and have the opportunity to have a photo taken with him. There is also an opportunity for businesses and organizations to sponsor a table for $1200. This includes eight executive admission tickets.

Tickets purchased before November 15 will be mailed. Tickets purchased after November 15  will need to be picked up at the institutional advancement office or at the ticket window the night of the banquet. Tickets are available online, or by visiting the office of institutional advancement inside the administration building at Hannibal-LaGrange University. Executive admission tickets are available by credit card only at 573-629-3124.
