There is help available for children and youth with special healthcare needs.

According the program coordinator Maekayla Wiler, the statewide program is geared toward income eligible families with children up to age 21. The program serves as a resource for children with issues such as Cystic Fibrosis or Cleft Pallet. The program can provide help or can steer families toward other resources if they aren't eligible for the CYSHCN program.

Wiler serves as northeast Missouri coordinator for the program, and is based at the Ralls County Health Department in New London.
