With temperatures expected to exceed the century mark today and tomorrow, a few events have been changed to provide relief for the patrons attending those events.

For instance, the Quincy Park District’s hosting of the Decatur Park Singers performance has been moved from Madison Park to the Oakley Lindsay Center.  You will need to bring your lawn chairs to the Center as well tonight.

The Quincy Gems are still playing Springfield tonight and they have set up a “mister” for fans to go through to cool down during the game. Plus the Gems will be giving away free Popsicle to the fans while they last. Gates open at 5:30 tonight.

Tonight’s Music Under the Stars will still be held tonight but it will be held a little later than scheduled. The new time is 7:30 at the Boyhood Home of Mark Twain in Hannibal.

The 8th Annual KHQA Do or Die Bowl Football game start tomorrow night has been moved back one hour to 8pm for the kickoff with the gates opening at 6:30 Friday night at Flinn Stadium.

There will undoubtedly be many more events either rescheduling or delaying events due to the weather in the days ahead. Stay cool!
